About Us
History of the Association
Established in 1985, the Telangana Short Film Makers Welfare Association (TSFMWA) began as a collective of passionate storytellers who believed in the power of cinema to change lives and communities. Over the decades, TSFMWA has become the beating heart of Telangana’s creative scene—uniting thousands of filmmakers, writers, artists, and technicians. From the early era of film reels to today’s digital streaming, we’ve helped members thrive, connect, and share their stories at every step.
